Get Lost Live to Debut at Knockdown Center

The intimate after-hours fostered in the tropical sweat of Miami touches down for a two-night marathon hosted by Crosstown Rebels. Originally formed as an alternative to the growing commercialism surrounding Ultra Music Festival, eclectic lineups and environmental mystique have formed a cult-like following for the event with recent editions expanding to London & CMX. Damian Lazarus, the brainchild at the helm, partners with The Bowery Presents’ to spin the indoor/outdoor labyrinth that forms Knockdown Center into his own reality.

With previous editions including everyone from Bob Moses to Wizardry, the New York rendition debuts the Get Lost Live concept, “an audio-visual experience aimed to redesign the way a live show is experienced” (Considering last year I lit a cigarette on a ceiling fire installation, I have no doubt it will). Friday evenings lineup includes Lebanese indie group Mashrou Leila, as well as Beautiful Swimmers and NYC’s Whitney Fierce.

Sunrise welcomes day two for another 16-hour stint, with a journey into the sound and rhythms of the Crosstown Rebels family. The signature outdoor event opens at 2 PM before another four open from 10 PM – whenever.

The Bronx will bring the Martinez Brothers to play alongside Detroit techno legend Carl Craig, along with minimal German producer Robag Whrume, Felix Da Housecat, and heavy-hitter Tijana T. Offering a space to explore mind and genre, this event has been a blog favorite since the very beginning. Let it take you on a trip until the sunrise, with friends in tow.
