Producer Chris Barratt has taken an Eagles & Butterflies private cut of Claptone’s vocal gem ‘Birdsong’ and now it’s out for the world. The Claptone project, though shrouded in mystery always seems to attract the ear of underground elite. After cutting teeth on labels like Sapiens, Bedrock, and Get Physical, the Eagles & Butterflies project can now be found on his own Art Imitating Life imprint. In just three releases, the project has evolved into a timeless underground composer watched by the scene’s most innovative names. It’s no shock that Chris got his hands on the pop record given his underground ability to craft ballads for the late-night dance floor.
Pulled from the crates of Berlin heavyweights Dixon and Ame, this well-rinsed rework has already seen success on the dance floor. Premiered by Pete Tong himself, the Claptone crew have dropped this amoung other reworks of album originals. Keeping Zola Blood’s pulsing vocal intact, the mix takes an exciting turn as hollow kicks meet synth melody. Prepare to be entranced by this subtle house record built for a refined sunrise set. Expect to hear it on repeat a Burning Man, this Eagles & Butterflies remix is an instant hit.
