Deep in the North East of England, a ‘hyper-localized’ genre of hardcore is has become more of a sound. Boiler Room Four Three does it again, showcasing this tight knit scene centered around a homegrown group of rave radicals. In an area ravaged economic disparity, an inclusive scene keeps people together through an unlikely bond.
Evolved from the roots of rave culture, the Makina sound can be traced. Planted when DJ Scott came back with a crate of records from Spain, the regional genre evolved from love. A fusion of bounce, happy hardcore, drum & bass, and more; Makina is eurodance at it’s finest.
