Taking a page out of the Aphex Twin playbook, multi-genre innovator Thom Yorke has announced his album with a cryptic public display followed by more. Due out June 27th, ‘AMINA’ will be ten tracks from the Radiohead frontman’s innovative solo program. Nine tracks will make up the XL Recordings release which will be available as a double vinyl.
As an solo artist, Yorke’s relationship with XL has spanned twelve years and (soon to be) three albums. Pair that with a healthy dose of soundtrack work, his artist reach is as timeless as it comes.
Adding to the package, Yorke has teamed up with director Paul Thomas Anderson for a ‘one-reeler’ video accompaniment. The visual will be delivered through Netflix along with the release. In other visual news, projections appeared across iconic walls like the Guggenheim in a tease of what’s to come. Oh yea, and of course there’s a tour. Mark your calendars.
